Livelihood commitments 4

As lovers of the great outdoors and the freedom to enjoy life as it should be enjoyed, the concept of modern slavery is horrific to us.

The very concept of ‘deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for

personal or commercial gain’ is one that we hardly like to believe still exists. But we know it does, as is well documented across many reputable channels.

And we know that simply having a horror of something does not meaningfully contribute to stamping it out. It requires action on the part of every organisation.

In our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement 2021, we not only state our commitment to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, but also outline the policies and practices that we’ve put in place to ensure that Millboard never knowingly does anything that would enable modern slavery or human trafficking to take place – either within our own staff or anywhere within our supply chain.

To ensure that the policies and practices that we put in place actually take practical effect, we conduct regular training, and this is detailed in our statement as well.

We’re pleased to take a stand in this critical area. Download our Millboard Modern Slavery Document
